"I want to share my experience with Julio and his firm. I signed up for the concealed weapons class. This is something I always wanted to do, but just put it off. While I did handle weapons as a youth growing up in New England, it had been many years. I was a little aprehensive going in. "There were several newbies in my class, including myself, who had never fired a weapon before.

Julio was patient and answered all questions--even those that were completely unrelated to the topic under discussion. He gently corrected those who asked about bullets. (You will need to attend the class to understand why he corrected the question!) Furthermore, when we went to the gun range he (and his lovely wife) showed the same level of patience and I felt comfortable shooting at the end of the range time. I highly recommend the "Combo Class" for new shooters because you will get more range time right up front. My fiancee, my cousin, and I all thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone seeking instruction and certification to carry a concealed firearm in the State of Florida. Even though I have had some previous military firearms training, my cousin has had some very limited firearms experience, and my fiancee had shot a pistol exactly one time before today, the course was engaging, informative, and useful for all three of us. "I have been fortunate enough to attend not only the CWP class, but the tactical one pistol class as well. For someone like myself, a person who didn't grow up near guns or hunting, learning to use a gun was a scary experience. I have a healthy fear of injuring myself or others by accident. However, I am single and travel to not so safe areas on a regular basis. Therefore, I decided it would be in my best interested to become a gun owner. With the responsibility of ownership comes also the responsibility of learning to handle a gun safely. I found Miami Fire Arms Training on the internet. I couldn't have been more pleased. I started my training very nervous to hold a loaded gun near other people. By the end of the day I had relaxed and was able to safely and effectively handle my firearm. Being that I have so little experience with firearms, while I did earn my certificate the first time, I have opted to take Tactical Pistol 1 again before moving on to the second, more advanced class. All of the instructors have been very supportive and encourage you to progress, but only at your own pace. I have recommended this class to my friends and will continue to do so.
